We Work With the Accounting Software Our Clients Use

We are QuickBooks ProAdvisor accountants, and we have identified our firm as a QuickBooks Online adviser from the beginning. Many customers use QuickBooks Online, and our experience with it means we can work with customers who already use the platform.

HMRC Does Not Specifies Use of Any Accounting Software

However, you do not have to use QuickBooks Online to work with us. Our accountants at Elaga work with the accounting software our customers use. We do not require every client to use the same software, and we can accommodate different record-keeping arrangements according to each client's circumstances.

For clients who do not use accounting software, we will bridge you to the appropriate record. We can work with your existing records and make the necessary arrangements to meet the relevant accounting and tax requirements.

Making Tax Digital: Your Records and Reporting Requirements

Making Tax Digital (MTD) is an important consideration for businesses, sole traders and landlords. The requirements depend on the type of tax, the taxpayer's circumstances and the relevant rules.

For example, MTD for VAT requires affected VAT-registered businesses to maintain digital records and submit VAT returns using compatible software. MTD for Income Tax began on 6 April 2026 for qualifying sole traders and landlords who meet the applicable income threshold and are not exempt.

Where MTD requirements apply, the relevant digital record-keeping and submission rules must be met. This does not mean that every client must use QuickBooks Online specifically.

We work with clients' existing records and arrangements, taking account of the applicable requirements. Whether you already use accounting software or have a different way of keeping your records, we can help ensure that the necessary arrangements are in place.

Accounting Support That Fits Your Circumstances

Our focus is on providing accounting and tax services that meet our clients' needs. We work with the records and accounting software our customers use, while ensuring that the relevant requirements are addressed.

If you are looking for an accountant to assist with your accounts, tax returns or ongoing tax obligations, please contact us to discuss your circumstances.

You can work with Elaga Accountancy whether or not you use QuickBooks Online. We use any accounting software or any electronic records for bridging which we do not charge on top. We bridge you to the up to date requirement from tax authority and any filing requirement. Talk to us now.
