Qualified ACSP to Verify ECCT Identity

As a qualified UK accountant and registered Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), we are authorised to carry out identity verification for Companies House.

From 18 November 2025, Companies House will require all company directors and persons with significant control (PSCs) to complete identity verification under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA). A 12-month transition period applies, but identity verification will be mandatory for ongoing and future filings.

Under the new law, many traditional verification methods are no longer acceptable, including remote manual checks and basic document uploads. Identity verification must now be completed either face-to-face by trained and qualified professionals (such as accountants, lawyers, or regulated agents) or through approved digital IDVT (Identity Document Validation Technology).
